Annual Remembrance Walk/Run Benefits Patients and Families of Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties
More than 150 walkers and runners participated in the 2019 Annual 5k Remembrance Walk/Run of Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties on Sept. 7, at Smith Park in Middletown, Ohio. Together, they raised more than $15,000.
The net proceeds from the event will benefit Lorelei’s Place Hospice House, palliative care, complementary therapies and community-wide grief support services for all regardless of ability to pay.
Participants organized groups of co-workers, family members, friends and neighbors to walk in honor or memory of a loved one and support the mission of Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. The not-for-profit, community-based hospice serves patients in their homes, extended care and assisted living facilities, and at Lorelei’s Place Hospice House in Franklin.
Awards were presented to the team and individual who raised the most money for Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. The award went to Faith Uniters. The individual award was given to Angela McCloe. All together, they raised $3,000.
This year’s presenting sponsors were Greg and Patti Atkinson. Additional sponsors were Kettering Health Network, Bright Health, Wilson-Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home, Middletown Ford, Anderson Funeral Home, LCNB National Bank and Quality Publishing.
