Annual 5k Remembrance Walk/Run Benefits Patient Care and Services at Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties
More than 200 people participated in Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties’ 9th Annual 5k Remembrance Walk/Run on Aug. 28 at North Park in Springboro.
Together, they raised more than $20,000 to support patient care and services. Proceeds from the event enable Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties to provide complementary therapies to our patients and grief support at no cost to anyone in the community who has suffered a loss.
“The event was made possible by the support of our community members,” said Sydney Truax, event organizer. “This is a wonderful event to come together to honor and remember our loved ones.”
Truax expressed appreciation for the volunteers who organized the event. “The event is organized through the goodness and hard work of a group of volunteers who are dedicated to our mission,” she said. “We also want to extend our appreciation to long-time committee members and volunteers, Darlene Ferris and Patti Atkinson.”
Special thanks to the presenting sponsor, Greg and Patti Atkinson; participating sponsor, Kettering Health; and partner sponsor, Middletown Ford.
